UK-based publication awards Alsons Sarangani Energy Plant as Most Innovative Power Project

The Alsons Power group’s Sarangani Energy Corporation (SEC) was named the Most Innovative Power Plant Project for 2019 by International Finance magazine.

SEC owns and operates a 210-megawatt baseload coal-fired power plant in, Maasim Sarangani Province that delivers power to over six million people in 10 provinces and 12 key cities in Mindanao including Cagayan de Oro, General Santos, Iligan, Butuan, Digos, Dipolog, and Pagadian.  The US$570 Million SEC plant is the single largest power investment in Sarangani Province and the entire Region 12.

International Finance is a business and finance magazine published by the London-based International Finance Publications Ltd.  The publication holds the annual International Finance Awards to recognize industry talent, leadership skills, industry net worth and capability on an international platform.
