By virtue of the Electric Power Industry Reform Act (EPIRA) of 2001, Retail Competition and Open Access empowers qualified End-Users or Contestable Customers to choose their own electricity supplier.

Through a licensed Retail Electricity Supplier, Contestable Customers have the freedom of choice in selecting from which RES they can acquire their electricity supply, guaranteeing saving on their electricity costs!

Saranggani Energy Corporation

Sarangani Energy Corporation is a 220-megawatt baseload coal-fired power plant in Maasim, Sarangani 210-megawatt, supplying energy to Sarangani, General Santos, Cagayan de Oro, Iligan, Butuan, and other key areas in Mindanao. It is the single largest power investment in Sarangani Province and the entire region 12 with an investment value of 570 million dollars. The plant ranked 2nd and 3rd in the coal resource category at the WESM Awards in 2023.

Western Mindanao Power Corporation

Sarangani Energy Corporation is a 220-megawatt baseload coal-fired power plant in Maasim, Sarangani 210-megawatt, supplying energy to Sarangani, General Santos, Cagayan de Oro, Iligan, Butuan, and other key areas in Mindanao. Siguil Hydro Power Corporation

Siguil Hydro Power Corporation

The Siguil hydroelectric power plant located at the Siguil River basin in the municipality of Maasim, Sarangani Province. It is the Alsons Power Group’s first foray into the renewable energy sphere. Construction of the Siguil Hydro plant began in the last quarter of 2019. The 14.5 megawatt Siguil Hydro plant is expected to begin commercial operations in 2024.

Sindangan Zambo-River Power Corporation

This renewable energy project includes an 8.8 Megawatt hydro power plant and a 29 Megawatt solar project in Zamboanga del Norte.
