Committed to helping employees reflect and realign their professional paths with purpose and intention, Alsons Power recently launched its Career Compass as part of its Eemployee Valu Proposition initiative.
Key employees Alsons Power and Alsons Consolidated Resources shared their stories on how they climbed their own career ladders, their journeys, and the challenges that shaped their careers. Jess de Gracia, APG’s Treasury Assistant Manager, spoke about taking steps forward even when the road ahead was uncertain. Keenan Erigbuagas, AVP for Sales and Services, shared how staying committed to learning helped him step up and find his groove in the energy industry. Emman Zarate, now serving as head of corporate finance at ACR, reflected on how Alsons opened doors early in his career, through scholarships and meaningful roles that pushed him to grow.
A Career Talk also took place during the Career Compass program featuring a panel of HR professionals from across all industries in the Philippines. The panel included CMI’s Chief Empowerment Officer Coach May Soriano, Nissan Philippines’ Senior General Manager and Vice President for Human Resources Eric Del Castillo, Home Credit Philippines’ Chief People Officer Alpha Omega Aquino, and Alsons Power’s Vice President for Corporate Services Maria Jiji Q. Lara. They offered practical advice and personal experiences on how leaders can foster career development within their teams. Their message was clear: growth is a shared responsibility. While managers must provide space and opportunities, it’s up to employees to take charge of their own career journey.
The campaign moved from inspiration to action with one-on-one coaching sessions. A total of 23 employees took part in focused 30-minute conversations with our internal coaches—graduates of last year’s Coaching Circle, as well as expert panelists mentioned above. These sessions offered employees personalized guidance to help them identify goals, gain clarity, and take their next steps with confidence.
Career Compass closed with a simple yet powerful message: Career growth is not an overnight transformation, but a steady, supported journey. And at Alsons Power, the company remains committed to walking that path with its people—because their growth is its priority.
