Bohol PLGU honors Alsons Power subsidiary for supporting the Province’s energy resilience

The Provincial Government of Bohol recognized Mapalad Power Corporation (MPC) Ubay, a subsidiary of Alsons Power Group, for its contribution to strengthening the province’s energy reliability, resilience, and economic stability.

Governor Erico Aristotle “Aris” Aumentado presented the Governor’s Excellence Award to MPC Ubay during the 172nd Bohol Day Celebration held at the Bohol Cultural Center in Tagbilaran City.

The recognition highlights the strong partnership between the Provincial Government of Bohol and Alsons Power in addressing the Province’s need for a dependable backup power source, particularly during grid disruptions and other contingencies.

MPC Ubay operates a 95.2-Megawatt In-Island Diesel Baseload Backup Power Plant in Ubay, Bohol. The facility helps maintain a stable electricity supply during grid emergencies, supporting the uninterrupted delivery of essential services, business operations, and industrial activities across the province.
