Alsons Consolidated Resources (ACR), the publicly-listed company of the Mindanao-focused Alcantara Group, posted double digit growth in revenues in 2025, driven by growing electricity demand, stronger Retail Electricity Supply (RES) sales, higher volumes from Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM) trading, and the commercial operation of its new power plant in Bohol.
In a disclosure, the company reported revenues of ₱14.9 billion, up 19% from ₱12.544 billion in 2024.
Net income stood at ₱2.4 billion, slightly lower than ₱2.5 billion recorded in the previous year, primarily due to the net effect of the company’s recognition of an impairment loss from its fossil fueled generating assets. Net income attributable to the parent company in 2025 increased to ₱800 million, representing a 10% year-on-year growth from ₱722 million in 2024.
ACR’s solid performance in 2025 underscores its commitment to consistently strengthening its relevance in the local energy sector through robust strategic initiatives, efficient use of resources and operational excellence.
“Despite ongoing geo-political developments, we remain confident in our growth prospects and we are committed to delivering stable and reliable electricity to every Filipino. We are working closely with government and industry partners to address existing conditions and mitigate potential risks, while actively exploring alternative sourcing strategies to rectify any disruptions,” said Roberto P. Ramos, Chief Financial Officer.
ACR is also focused on expanding its portfolio of renewable power assets with the SPPC Solar Power Project that won in the Department of Energy’s Green Energy Auction Program and the Bawing Solar Power Project that was given the Green Lane Certification from the Board of Investments.
