Alsons Power Group underscored the critical importance of outage reporting in plant operations, as well as the need to ensure personnel readiness in responding to crises and other significant events. In line with this, the Group conducted a series of training workshops organized by its Legal, Regulatory, Compliance, and Industry Relations (LRCIR) department, in coordination with the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC).

The activities aim to strengthen compliance with regulatory reporting requirements on grid reliability and equip Plant and Operations personnel with standardized response protocols for crisis situations and other significant events.

During the two-day training and workshops, ERC resource persons Engr. Mark Joefel T. Cadiz and Mr. John Tristan U. Dela Cruz underscored the critical role of consistent and timely reporting in maintaining grid integrity and system-wide reliability. The sessions also introduced Alsons Power’s newly established Significant Event and Unplanned Outage Protocol, reinforcing a more structured and coordinated approach to managing operational disruptions.
“Strengthening reporting discipline and alignment with reliability standards enables us to anticipate risks, respond effectively to system events, and consistently deliver stable power,” said Jose Luis R. Angco, Senior Vice President and Business Manager for PBU Generations.
Guided by its ‘We Power with Care’ commitment, Alsons Power continues to enhance internal capabilities and strengthen regulatory engagement to ensure reliable power generation in an evolving regulatory landscape.
