Alsons Power Strengthens Commitment to Education with New ECCD Center in Upland Sarangani

Alsons Power Group, through its Maasim-based subsidiaries—Sarangani Energy Corporation (SEC) and Siguil Hydro Power Corporation (SHPC)—has officially broken ground on a new Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) center in Sitio Tahakayo, Barangay Amsipit, Maasim, Sarangani.

As part of its corporate social responsibility and continuing commitment to improve access to quality education, Alsons Power is constructing a 48-square-meter ECCD facility that will serve over 30 young children from the upland communities of Sitio Tahakayo and Sitio Lebe. These areas remain underserved, with limited access to early childhood learning opportunities. Once completed, the new center will offer a safe, child-friendly space that fosters foundational learning and supports the holistic development of young learners in geographically isolated communities.

“Education is a powerful driver of inclusive progress,” said Ruben Tungpalan, Vice President for Corporate Affairs at Alsons Power. “Through this project, we reaffirm our commitment to nurturing young minds and empowering the communities we serve.”
