CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — Alsons Power Group participated in the 2nd Mindanao Infrastructure Summit, held on 22–23 October 2025 at the Xavier Sports & Country Club in Cagayan de Oro City. The event gathered over 400 participants from government, industry, and academia in support of a unified infrastructure agenda focused on inclusive growth, climate resilience, and energy security.

Against a backdrop of growing demand for infrastructure and the increasing call for climate-resilient development across Mindanao, the Summit—organized by the Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) in collaboration with national agencies and regional governments—emphasized the importance of cross-sector collaboration and public-private partnerships to accelerate the delivery of strategic projects across the island.

Alsons Power underscored the central role of reliable, flexible generation and renewable energy assets in strengthening Mindanao’s infrastructure ecosystem.

“Reliable electricity powers infrastructure, and infrastructure powers growth. Strengthening Mindanao’s power infrastructure—from generation to transmission to distribution—is key to accelerating development and building a stronger, more inclusive community,” said Anton Miguel Alcantara, CEO of Alsons Power Group. “We remain committed to delivering reliable generation and to working with communities and government to build climate-ready infrastructure that powers inclusive growth.”

Looking ahead, Alsons Power reaffirmed its strategic focus on aligning energy development with Mindanao’s broader infrastructure priorities.

The Summit served as a venue for the company to engage with local governments, private partners, and industry stakeholders in discussions on advancing sustainable infrastructure and energy security in the region. Alsons Power reiterated its commitment to supporting Mindanao’s inclusive growth by providing safe, reliable, and affordable power—while pursuing initiatives that contribute to a more resilient and sustainable Mindanao.
