The Alsons Power group’s Siayan Sindangan Zambo-River Power Corporation (SZPC) recently affirmed its commitment to advance technical (Tech. Voc.) education in its various host communities thru a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with the Regional Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) of the Zamboanga Peninsula (Region 9), and the Municipality of Siayan, Zamboanga del Norte.
SZPC is developing a hydroelectric power project of up to 22 mega-watts (MW) encompassing various municipalities in Zamboanga del Norte

At the signing ceremony held at the Siayan Municipal Hall, SZPC turned over electrical, construction and welding tools and equipment valued at ₱ 200,000 to be utilized at the TESDA Tech Voc. Training center in the Municipality.

Alsons Power- Mindanao’s first private sector power generator plans to develop at least seven more run of river hydro power facilities in different parts of Mindanao and the Visayas. The group currently operates four power facilities in Mindanao with a total generating capacity of 468 MW serving over eight million people in 14 cities and 11 provinces in the country’s second largest island.
